Tried it on today, i might be in the minority, but it felt very cheap. The weight was something i couldn’t get into. But, if you want an ultra light diver, hard to beat. Dial and insert look awesome, proportions are amazing.

Titanium watches def feel light and can be perceived as "cheap". The OG had the advantage of the stainless clasp to go along with the caseback which added a little extra weight to the bracelet. Having said that, having them both, once you strap them on they end up the most comfortable watched you’ll wear. Even when I pop my Sub on now it feels heavy!

That was my main concern that kept me away. I think i would get very used to the weight, and anything else would feel too heavy. When i would wear a 14060 on rubber, that was the same feeling. Anything else felt enormous. Tudor continues to crush it, very excited for the brand. I had a nice conversation with our AD manager today about watches and Tudor and many amazing watches they are pumping out. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Any new owners able, or willing, to put this on an MN type parachute strap for us less fortunate types to see how it looks?

New Tudor Pelagos 39MM

+1 I really tried to love it but it felt “too light” for a dive watch. Also wasn’t a fan of the sunburst bezel. The sunburst on the dial was super subtle which is good. Proportions are spot on. I tried on a BB58 and it felt much better for me. I think it’s a well made watch and will sell like hotcakes. There are few other watches out there like it. Just not for me. +1. Tried it over the weekend. It’s no doubt a great looking watch. But felt like a cheap toy; dare I say like a foogazi. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The size change is great, but the loss of the 3D chapter ring, matte bezel, and Pelagos clasp make this a miss.
This is better than the Black Bay (It's basically a Black Bay Ti) but it loses much of what makes the Pelagos special. |

Hope it’s ok to necropost as I don’t think my post is worthy of a new thread.
I finally managed to see & try the Pelagos 39 in a recent trip to the AD. There were a few surprises despite how much I had read up about it. Probably the first was how small it looked. Putting it on my wrist I actually felt it was more comparable to a DJ36 than the expected 39. Measurement-wise I’m sure it’s 39, but maybe the balance of the dial-to-bezel ratio made the watch looked dainty. Furthermore the clasp looked big, which felt almost comparable to my SD43 in length. Definitely longer than the DJ41 clasp. So, again, to me, the balance of the watch case to the clasp length felt a little off to me. However what I did love was the weight. It’s absolutely nothing on the wrist (esp coming from an SD43, or even the DJ41). Also the Ti finish was beautiful. I do like the understated look for a change from mirror finishes. W.R.T the imbalances though I’m sure in time one would get to it.

Thought I join here and show 3 wristshots with my 14060M, the Pelagos 39 and the BB58. All were done at a similar distance. Though the angle is not identical, I cropped these so that each watch should be very close to its original size in relation to the others.
It's not exact science, but it's as good as it gets unless I would shoot them static side by side, but I think showing them on the wrist, delivers what it's all about: How they wear and look in real life. |

Some more and fwiw: My wrist is 17-17.5 cm depending on the temperature and with a calliper without pressing the sides I get 55 - 58 mm. |

Tried on the Pelagos 39 at the Tudor Boutique in Glasgow. Nice watch. Feels kind of strange how light it is but I’m sure you’d get used to it within a day or two.

Thanks for your photos. In terms of aesthetics on the wrist I would rank them 14060M > BB58 blue > Pelagos 39

I made another series to show how they compare. This is intended to demonstrate the size in relation and the impact of the design on the perceived presence or size. Of course these are all shot static from the same distance. It shows quite good that the Pelagos 39 has a somewhat 'bulky' (compact / strong) appearance with it's wider bezel and the 21 mm lug distance. And also how much presence the BB58 has, which is the smallest in case size, but has the biggest dial. The diameter of the crystals: 29.1 mm 14060M 29.5 mm Pelagos 39 31.0 mm Black Bay 58 Due to the set up of light and angle there are almost no reflections on the dials and hands, which robs the 14060M as well as the BB58 much of their special charms. So these pictures are not a basis for a beauty contest, I want to say. |

Excellent shots!
I am curious as to how you feel about having both a Sub and the P39? Do you think you will keep both? I have a 116610 and really want the Pelagos but do wonder If I need two very similar watches.
