Battle of PMs
This problem might come sooner than later. If you could only keep one which would it be?
A yellow gold black dial daytona vs a white gold pepsi meteorite? I feel like the meteorite pepsi is harder to get but the gold daytona is beautiful in it's own right. There is no wrong answer for this, I'm just curious how everyone else views it. |

Absolute no brainer for me… WG GMT Meteorite dial every day of the week, and twice on Sunday’s!

A gold daytona is over the top, and frankly tacky. If you need to go PM, platinum or WG is the way to go.
Now, that aside, how could one seriously take a run-of-the-mill gold daytona (not hard to get, not a rare bird) over a meteorite gmt?? Agree with the guy above me... complete no brainer.

Wow this is a decision I would find pretty impossible to make -
I really have thought about this and could not make a decision between these two particular watches in my collection there probably couldn’t be a more difficult pairing to separate. I would probably say the meteorite GMT just because it’s such a difficult watch to get and from a Rolex fan/ collectors point of view it’s very special. And probably discontinued sooner or later. A yellow gold Daytona will always be an in production model (maybe not my particular dial though) But no answer from me here I cannot make a choice. Curios, why do you ask? I would pick the Pepsi all day. I would pick my meteorite Pepsi over platinum Daytona with baguettes. It’s such a more special watch with the meteorite dial.

Academically, I fully understand the argument for the Pepsi meteorite but my heart will always go with that YG PN dial Daytona. Just absolute fire.
I’ve worn both and I enjoy wearing the Daytona more. I love the meteorite for sure, but if I had to choose, I’m taking the YG Daytona. You come out a winner whatever you choose though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I will never part with my WG Meteorite Pepsi. Hard as hell to get via AD, low key, plays like a SS Pepsi, but truly an exotic heavy hitter. Perhaps as I'm getting older, still a young 50, and hopefully wiser, my taste is changing and I am favoring my WG and Platinum over my YG watches.

Gmt for sure. Daytona is too small and tacky looking. But i do think the Daytona looks better on a female wearer so if you share with a wife or gf then maybe Daytona

I’d take any Daytona over any GMT, any metal/configuration. Just my personal preference.

I'm not a meteorite guy. So there's your answer.

Almost any Daytona over a 6 digit GMT (as I prefer 4 and 5 digit GMTs).

In general I preferred YG and RG gold over WG but Meteorite dial win over most dial.
Meteorite dial looks best with WG Pepsi. There is no wrong choice here, it's better to keep both of them. That is why I have YG Daytona with green dial, RG Daytona with black dial and WG GMT with Meteorite dial and love them all.
