Help putting my full RG 116505 Daytona on rubber B
Hey guys, I spent hours on here trying to find an answer, but I haven't seen anything that answered my question 100%
I want to put my rose gold Daytona 116505 (with RG bracelet) on a rubber B strap, but if you go on their website, there is no mention of any rubber B to be specifically made for the PM Daytonas other than the YG ones, which have the same lugs as the steel one. I'd also have to buy proper end links, and even in this case, I read on here that smarty jones is the best one. Even in this case, though, I can't find them for RG Daytonas; however, I can find them on the Official Time website, which I read here are a good (not great apparently) alternative to smarty jones ones. So my question to you guys is, can you please point me to the proper rubber b strap paired with the appropriate end links that would fit on my Daytona if any of you did the same "modification" to your Daytona? I appreciate any help/info you can provide. |

Oh it’s an absolute stunner don’t get me wrong!
It’s just that in some occasions the rubber strap would definitely look better and more appropriate and since it’s just a quick operation to go from normal to rubber b and back, why not :) |

I’d go with real oysterflex straps if i were going your route. You can try sourcing them from the WTB or rolex accessory section here.

I don't know if they make dark-brown rubber straps, but I think it would look awesome on this reference.
Wouldn't get an oysterflex - the lack of integration with the case is unbecoming. Everest and RubberB have done well to make solid products that fill a gap (literally) that Rolex has yet to be able to themselves.

I do not think the end links would match properly.... just get yourself a 116515 to add to your collection, trust me they are like 2 different watches.

Substituting a gorgeous gold oyster for a cheap after market rubber strap...ugh. No substitute for taste.

Are you saying there in a difference in the case/lug size between the RG and YG versions?

not talking about taste here , the gold bracelet is superior by miles, it's about convenience in certain situations as well as matching outfit in certain occasions

Must agree, a cheap piece of rubber on a watch like that
If you must than the Oysterflex, different beast with its Titanium core

You're gonna destroy your lugs to make your watch worse.
At least get OF bands. |
