Got my first Breitling!
Hey all,
Thanks to everyone on the Forum (especially Tim) who had helped me and gave me advice on where to look, my first Breitling had finally arrived this weekend, and it is AWSOME! The only downside is that I now have to try really hard to stop myself from looking at my watch all the time :) I've tried to attach some pics, but for some reason my files won't upload, if anyone could tell me how, I would be happy to put them up! |

Your file size maybe to large...Try and reduce them first..! Just a thought!!
Rob.

It's the good ol' navitimer world, black dial, with black leather strap.
I've just compressed the files and attached them, hopefully everyone can see it. Also, here is a link to a image online: |

A nice watch UncleBennie!!
I had an Old Navitimer myself once but sold it to fund my Rolex addiction!! Still I love the make and style of the Navitimer...If I was to buy another Breitling, this would be the model for sure!!! So,your pics worked!!! I thought you had to reduce them as the file size was to large..... Thanks for showing us.... Rob. PS: Just found a pic of my Navitimer(no longer with me!)

That's a beautiful navi you got there! The runner up to this purchase is very similar to yours: two-tone bracelet, original navi style, but I wanted a black dial. I was also looking at the detora too.
Yes, Rolexes are nice, but expensive. The only one I have is the blue submariner, and I hate to wear it because I'm afraid that something is gonna happen to it. |

Great-looking Navi, Uncle Benny. Just for curious-ness what is your wrist measurement ? I'm wondering if I have enough wrist to wear a watch that large.

Yea, I do have a very small wrist, it's like 6.5 maybe? Never measured it before, but the regular strap works for me, at least I think it does...

Ya think?

Seriously, love the watch, but IMO there is such a thing as too big for individual wrists. I guess the only thing that really matters is if the owner is truly happy...in this case, I hope the owner is truly happy. |

I hear ya'. My little chicken bone wrist measures 6.75 ". The navi looks big in part because there is so much dial and little bezel width, so methinks there is some optical illusion at play. I'm seriously considering a 46mm Zenith with a wide bezel (Class Traveller Multi), but I wouldn't make such a purchase without trying on a number of large watches with straps first. My Breitling Chronomat is currently my largest at 43.7, and I think it looks OK.

Omega's Speedmaster Day-Date comes to mind...that watch has day, date, month, chrono, and tachy all in a sweet Speedmaster case & even though they classify it at 40mm it definitely wears a lot smaller than a Sub (probably because of no rotating bezel). I can't tell you how many times I've tried to talk myself into it...would love to have a watch with all those features, yet sure enough every time I try it on it just screams "Kids Watch" on my wrist because it looks too small. |

I think the clothes you wear also matters. For instance, I would avoid wearing shorts and polos with that navi world, but if i'm wearing a sporty jacket, then I think the watch wouldn't look bad at all.
