I think the SD4000 is the most perfect, at least for me, watch in the current Rolex lineup.

That's a great article -- and has some VERY good pics to really highlight all the major differences between these references.

Thanks for sharing!

If they hadn't made the SD4000 wear so tiny I'd seriously consider it, but it looks silly on me. Guess the DSSD will stick around for awhile until they come to their senses and release a 42mm Sub. :)

How big is your wrist? I tried the SD and didn't get that impression. My wrist is about 8".

I would love a 42mm Sub

This has probably been asked before but I was wondering if there is a cost difference for standard RSC service between the SubC date and the SD4K?

I believe there is an error with regard to dial specs. It states that the Deepsea has a gloss dial when in fact it has a matte dial (at least mine does anyway). The 5.5mm crystal makes it appear gloss at times, but when you see in under very bright light, it is most definitely matte. Or am I the only one experiencing this?

Very good article. Now I really understand what is a difference between all these divers' watches. I am not big fan of subs, however, TT Sub with blue dial looks really impressive. Now i am considering buying my second Rolex and thinking about TT Daytona or TT Sub Bluessy. Can not decide :)

Good article

My thoughts:
- They all look similar
- SDC really should be 42mm, would make for a better size gradient
- DSSD really isn't that large given the depth rating difference
- As far as I know, black DSSD dial is matte, not glossy, or has it changed? (see thread about reported SDC with glossy dial)

No, you're quite correct and it's the same with my own black DSSD.
The D-Blue has the gloss dial.
If I recall there's possibly 1 or 2 other inaccuracies I picked up in the article as well. But I may be wrong
