Icon20 Cellini 5112 yellow gold

Hello, this watch (Cellini 5112 yellow gold, buying year 1989, 5112 is etched on the case back) has the crown missing (maybe it has been unscrewed and lost). It is possible to replace the crown by myself (screwing it)? Where can I find exactly the right part number? Tks Davide

Welcome to the forum

I am no expert, but I don’t think you can just screw it on.

I guess it depends if the stem is still there or if you’re missing the crown AND stem.

I own a submariner and I’ve seen videos of people removing the crown.

They unscrew the crown and then release both crown and stem from the movement.

I just saw online and it looks like the crown and stem are also separable. It looks like the crown is screwed onto the stem and glued on.

That’s why I say, it depends if you’re only missing the crown.

Or if you’re missing crown and stem.

My 2 cents.

Crown for 5112/8 is 24-402402-8
Winding stem is 1837.
Caliber can be 1601 or 1602, (same stem)

If the crown unscrewed from the stem you will need to remove the stem , hold it in a proper pin vice so no damage is done to the stem, apply Loctite to the stem and screw the new crown on very snug...

If you require a new stem, then you will need to cut it to proper length, then do the above steps.
