i like that my daytona is 39mm and also like the fact that sub wears bigger. After wearing either for a few days you will adjust. Variety is the spice of life! btw it looks fine on your wrist!

All watches look much larger in photos than in person, however, the 40 mm looks great on you. If you like bigger watches, check out Breitling, they have some stunning pieces in the 43-36 mm range.

I’m a Gen Xer, so I grew up with 36mm being a general mans size, 40mm for sports, and mid 30s for dress watches. A little beyond 40mm is fine for a chrono.

Size looks good.

Just seems to be too far down your wrist.

Knock off some of those curls?

Looks great.

Isn’t the Daytona bezel smaller than 40mm though?

I’m exactly the same with this reference ... I always end up in the same place and pass. I just can’t pull the trigger on it.

Looks good.

My wrist is nearly 8 inches. Don’t care if it looks a little small, I still rock the Daytona.

My 116520 just felt too small and I couldn’t get over it. My 116500 feels great. Love it. No issues on my 7.5” wrist.

Every time I put on my Daytona it ‘feels’ smaller than it should. But when I see it on others and have it on for a while it becomes the perfect size.

Give it a few days, if you can, so you can get use to it. They really are stunning.

Not too small at all! In fact, in that first pic it looks too big. Let’s meet in the middle — It’s just right! If you love it, that’s all that matters.

CHeers guys for the comments. I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion that it’s perfect. My mate wants to sell it, so we will see where we end up. I recently bought a sky dweller which while nice is not for shrinking violets and was purchased in haste having seen a popular sports reference in an AD window. If I can make it work, I think I’ll go for it and will make a nice partner for my 16710 Pepsi.....I’ve always wanted one of these but was never going to get through an AD, and I didn’t want to pay the massive grey premium. This might be the happy medium.

My wrist is quite flat so it accentuates the wrist space, but on you not so much and I wouldn't let that stop you getting this watch at all.

I have this issue with my Explorer I. Sometimes it's perfect, sometimes it looks tiny (I have a 7.5in + wrist). From those pictures, I really don't think they Daytona looks small on you though.

In none of your photos does it anywhere close to too small.

Looks great! In direct relation to other watches like Subs, GMT's and Speedmasters it can look a little more svelte, in reality it is just perfect...at least to my eyes.
