Q about removing links on a super jubilee bracelet

I needed to remove 4 links on my wife's 31mm DJ.

My Q is...should I remove 2 links from each side or 3 and 1 or all 4 links from one side? As of now there are 6 removable links on 12:00 side and 2 on the 6:00 side.

Thanks

You remove links so that it fits comfortably.

Take 1 off the 6 and 3 off the 12 and see how it fits (or 2 and 2) . If you don't like it, try another arrangement.

The clasp, hidden or not makes no difference, shall be opposite the watch head when it's on the wrist. Exactly opposite and in parallel. Take away the links accordingly.

The crown will not be centered on the underside of her wrist. You’re supposed to have less links on the 6 o’clock side. You need to account for the actual clasp.

This really bad drawing shows the links (green), the clasp (red), and the Rolex crown (purple). We are looking at the 3 o’clock (winding crown) side of the watch. there are more greeen links that go over the red clasp. Once sized, the red clasp should be parallel to the watch head. Thus the purple crown is closer to the 6 o’clock side and not centered.

It might look better to have the Rolex crown centered, but on a smaller wrist especially, not having the clasp centered to the watch head will cause the watch to fall off center on the wrist.
