My GMT is in for service and I'm having withdrawals

Pointless post, I know.

First, it took over 7 days for my package to arrive even though I paid for 2 day shipping. Not sure what the issue was, but I could have driven to the service center in 7 hours.

Anyway, I'm really missing the watch. And I'm sure it will be at least two more weeks before it even has a chance of being shipped back.

The withdrawal is real

That's why you need at a minimum of 2 Rolex.

My GMT went in for routine service and to get new hands with some lume. That was late last year. Every day was pure agony. It seemed to take forever to get there (NJ to TX), they had it for weeks, and it was another eternity in transit back to me. 4-5 weeks total. In the interim I bought a Speedmaster. It was only having a beloved (but very different) alternate watch that allowed me to retain a small sliver of my sanity.

Routine service. But what does “hand slipping” mean? Now I’m nervous. H

It's not optional. You need at least two.

I'm sure Rolex sells a lot of watches to people who send their one and only in for service.
