Blancpain

Love the photos. Do you find the BP to be too thick compared to the sub? I am thinking about a FF but the size is a concern for my skinny wrist.

Blancpain is cool but Submariner is great.
Thanks for posting

+1

If Rolex wasn't the staple and the sub wasn't such a classic...

I recently flipped my last sub and was thinking of adding a 114060, but the FF might win out.

White bread FF is the epitome of a dive watch in my book. A real stunner.

Ok so we need to not bring up any other brands than the ones mentioned? Wow tha'll be fun
Never said the AP CE diver is better, just said that comfort wise it puts the other 2 to shame, if to be totally honest I would say that the best diver is the FF between a SS AP diver and it, it is very well made, just don't get how some find the sub is better than the FF

For me, with small wrists, the Sub looks okay, the FF looks enormous. So some of it has to do with how a watch works on your wrist.

The FF is very pretty, but I don't care for the askew date window and the large size. And I actually love the cyclops, a Rolex Icon. So each to their own.

I could be wrong, but I think it may have actually been Omega who created the first dive watch, the Marine, in 1932.

I've always loved the Bathyscaphe, and if buying a diver in that range, I really want to try one on in person, but I'm just scared it is too big for me, as I have been much preferring smaller watches. I am also really intrigued by the new 38mm bathyscaphe.

Crikey that Sub is gorgeous apart from the lugs. The Bathyscaphe in 38mm will need a serious look at.

Rolex produced the first shallow-depth water resistant watch, the Oyster, in 1926, while Omega produced the first true divers watch (for deep diving, 70m) in 1932:

Love the look of both. Personally, I find the FF a bit big.

It wears smaller than its size.

I've only tried on the flyback chrono also at 43mm, on my 6.5" wrist (sorry bad picture)

Was pretty close to wearable, but I just feel like I would like something slightly smaller, so pretty excited about the 38mm, but definitely would want to try them on next to eachother.

The sailcloth strap helps make the FF extremely comfortable

Maybe the color will make a difference but the 38mm already exists for you to try, it's just the ladies model. It comes only in a weird all-white I believe. Unfortunately there's nothing really new at all about the 38mm editions they've been putting out.

great pics - I love everything about BP apart from the size and the date. They get a lot of love here which says something for the Rolex Forum.

Though, I wouldn't mind trying on one of the anniversary 40mm pieces.

Great photos!

My guess is that Blancpain will come out with a smaller FF during Basel 2017.

Yes, they've announced the 38mm model. No price as of now though!

EDIT: Bathyscaphe not FF

The Bathyscape 38mm wasn't a big surprise, they already did a limited run of that size in 2016 of 30 pieces for Revolution Watch Magazine, however, everyone is waiting/hoping for a smaller FF. I strongly suspect that it is going to happen.

I wish they did 40 though instead of 38mm. Idk if it would make sense for them to do both the same year but we can only hope.
