Aquanaut, royal oak Chrono, or vacheron overseas chrono

Looking to try a new piece and having a difficult time deciding.

1. Patek Aquanaut new from Canadian AD for around 24k Canadian (would have to wait til Nov)

2. Vacheron 5500v with new in-house movement and display back for around 29k Canadian new from AD.

3. AP Royal oak Chrono with no in-house movement or display back but arguably looks a bit nicer than the VC. Tough call tho. AP around 25k Canadian from grey market bnib.

Patek is Patek and the aquanaut is a nice watch ...Under 30k Canadian is my price point so nautilus is out and impossible to find anyway. The VC has everything....New in-house movement with display back and Geneva seal. The AP is very pretty and I may be visually attracted to this one he most but it lacks the water resist, non in-house, no display back....Thoughts ???

Of those three I highly prefer the looks of the AP. But if you included a PP 5711 that would be my preference.

Thanks guys. Leaning towards the AP at the moment on looks alone. People who are voting please take the time to explain your vote

AP ROC for me. I had some reservations initially about the movement not being inhouse and lack of open-caseback but the F.Piguet movement in the ROC is a very reliable and accurate movement.

Do check out the new "refreshed" 2017 ROCs as well.

I am biased but my vote is for the AP...The fit and finish, particularly the bracelet is something I still find myself staring at.

PP Aquanaut.

The VC looks nice in pictures but always wore awkward when I tried it on. I like the newer ROC's more than the old one.

I love the simplicity and the uniqueness of the PP.

VC 5500v.

The reasons being as you mentioned: new in house movement with Geneva Seal. Display case back. Comes with 3 easily interchangeable bracelets. For a chronograph I like the looks of the VC the most.

For AP Royal Oak I prefer the 15202 looks, just quintessential AP.

For the PP Aquanaut I like the 5164 over the 5167.

Aquanaut - better chronographs out there. Look for a used 5980.

If you have other very nice watches the Aquanaut, it's great, but if it is your only high end then thz ROC, it's stunning and movement is very good even if not in house, VC is nice but on wrist pics looks awkward, can't explain why, if you prefer bracelet watches go AP, strap watches go Aquanaut

my vote went to the Patek, because I prefer the understated nature of the Patek.

AP probably would feel like better value with the excellent bracelet, and wrist presence, but I do worry if I would get tired of the conspicuous bezel and bracelet of the AP.

I haven't own any of these brands, only tried them on, so I don't know the real life long term feelings of owning any of them. Just I think I know my personality well enough that I would prefer the Patek. My dream pair is owning both a 5167 and 5711.

5167 that sounds like a fair price for new. Question is can you wait that long? It's a real long time

I have to be honest I don't really like the aquanaut. It's very close between the AP and VC. I think I'd chose the VC because I'd prefer owning a regular RO one day...that's just me. It's hard choosing for someone else my best advice is try both on but the VC gets my vote however the AP is an incredibly close second.

This is exactly the one to get.

Close 2nd for the new blue VC. The strap change system looks good.
