Who owns the oldest Rolex on the forum?

I believe this 18K Oyster is from approximately 1931, based on "The Vintage Rolex Price Guide" by Morning Tundra. Not sure as to which market it was intended for, but note the dial indicates both "FAB SUISSE" or "SWISS MADE". Sort of a "belt and braces" approach. Any opinion on age is welcome.

Although Rolex was based in London, I believe their early cases were made by Dennison, which was based in Birmingham. Birmingham had a different dating code. (Seems crazy.) So, I believe this watch is from 1912 instead of 1908.
Still very early.

Not the oldest, but I've had it since new. Bought in HK by my dad. III.57 6480 caliber 1210. Still runs fine. Minimal service, maybe 2-3 times early on. I really don't wear a watch any more.

Here's an early Dunkling Rolex. 7 world records. Based on the case style, should be from 1920s

Wasn't "Tomkins" a sub brand for Rolex (similar to Marconi or Unicorn)

bobridley, that watch is a stunner.

What's the story behind how you ended up purchasing it?

I have a similar watch to obstando but the hallmark on mine dates it to 1919. Unfortunately there's no history for the watch so I can't explain the symbols on the dial. I think they relate to electrical resistance and earth but I don't know what C/S means.
Were custom dials common for these type of watches or is this likely to have been repainted at later date?
