Sbgk005 as everyday wearer

Hey Guys—

First time that I’m thinking of really jumping into the GS game.

Do you believe the sbgk005 and now the new sbgk009 can act as everyday wearers? Or do you believe they’re far too dressy to pull off with jeans and t shirt.

Would love your input or some wrist shots and thoughts from owners!

Thank you all!

I don't think it's too dressy. It's pretty good with straps and you can just go with a sporty one instead. Very comfortable with a stunning dial.

My only concern would be the highly polished case which would be a scratch magnet...

Sure. I think it would work but there are so many other watches that are more casual. I would use it as an excuse to pick up a true sport model like the SLA or Turtle.

I thought through this a couple years ago when I picked up my first GS (sbgw253).
My two cents: I have the sbgk005 and think it looks great with casual wear... plus you can always swap out the strap for more of a matte navy or brown color. I tend to wear my dress watches with casual wear as I rarely wear a suit or button down shirt. By casual I mean a nice and tidy casual look...denim, chinos, t shirts, polos, etc that fit well and the GS gives a nice polished/classic final touch. I will wear the GS in nearly any situation aside from gym clothes. I think other brands like Nomos thrive in this nice casual style with their polished cases...I think the GS works just as well.
