Incoming... First GS, SBGA403

Been lurking on this one for a long time! Finally pulled the trigger, the 'Lion' 403. Thanks to the advice from DVR and 1William on TRF :)

Pictures cannot do justice for its beauty, it is much more shiny in person. Love the light weight and comfort wearing on wrist. It has a bigger dial than the Rolex DSSD, and is more into detail and better polished IMO.

The case, the dial is strikingly beautiful and can't help looking at it from different angle. Mine is 36X/500, not that close

This is fantastic watch! Could you post a side shot or two vs the Deepsea, I'm interested in how thick it wears. I saw a Godzilla available and am tempted.

Sure! I'd say DSSD is not too much thicker but the case shape of the sbga403 made it easier to wear. And much lighter :)

Congratulations. That dial looks spectacular

What are the lug measurements? Looks larger than 22?

Edit: never mind I see now

Which do you prefer? The GS SBGA403 or the DSSD? Which has more quality?

Overall I prefer the SBGA403. IMO It has better case & dial quality and a see-through back. but DSSD got better bracelet and clasp.

The lion is a great looking watch that also has great wrist presence.

I really like the DSSD but I think I like the lion more.

This case does not wear as big as the numbers suggest

How is the bracelet quality? Does it stand up to the Rolex? I have the Godzilla and am debating on getting the bracelet but have not loved the GS bracelets. It looks great.

Hi, I won't say it stand up with the Rolex Oyster bracelet. The band is good but the clasp is the same one from the Seiko 300m divers. Seiko should have made one better clasp for GS sport watches.

Good to know. And I agree 100% The clasp on the Shark strap is very nice but the strap is so thick. Omega and Rolex bracelets/claps to me feel much more robust than GS. It is almost like they spend so much on the movement and dial and they treat the metal bracelets as an afterthought. I was hoping this one was different. But hard to compete with Rolex bracelets, but for a 10k+ watch I feel their bracelets are lacking. Ok off my soap box. Thx again for the info.

Np. I'm actually searching for a nice leather strap to fit the Lion but the 23mm width is really hard to find...
