Am I the only one who thinks 16570 looks better than 216570??

Especially the black face models, that fat, stubby hour hand just KILLS me!

It's not the orange 24 hour hand that bugs me; it's the large size. I love my 16570!!! OK, love might be a bit strong. Actually I just put it on worrying about having to set it. To my surprise it was set to the right date but about 12 hours behind; it's the easiest time I've ever had setting it.

I’m sure you’re not the only one, but I favor the 216570.

Love, love, love my 16570
I think the 40mm is the perfect size.
Both polar and black dial is very cool.
To me it has a classic/retro look and a modern look, but not over the top.

I think you would’ve decried the Expl. II 1665, too...

I just feel that the 16570 is more fluid while the 216570 is large and chunky? Once again, purely personal tastes and observations

I agree.
The 6 digit polar is nice, but I think the EXP II lost something significant when they moved to the 6 digit format.

I find the 5 digit too small for my 7.5 inch wrist. I had a black dial for many years and gave it to my GF 3 years ago. She wore it and then I traded it for an SD 43

The white dial 216570 is my favourite watch.
You are certainly not the only one though that prefers the 16570. There are thousands here who would probably agree with you. I'd say it's a very nice mix of people who prefer each one.

I always liked the 16570 but I truly love the 216570. I'm thinking of getting one soon since i'm assuming some changes are coming

I recently bought a 16570 Polar. The 216570 was much too big for me and something felt off about the proportions.

I hate the cheap and tinny feeling of the bracelets on the 5 digit Rolexes. I ended up procuring a 97200 bracelet with Glidelock and now I feel that I have the best of both worlds.

I’m sure you are not the only one. I felt the same way until I tried on the 16570 and discovered it did nothing for me. No regrets here!

did the 97200 bracelet fit flush with your 16570? or did you have to make some modifications?

The new Exp ll is a great watch, but a little too big for me.
I love my 16570 Polar.

I prefer the 42 mm version. I like the size, fit and look better. Personal preference. No issues with the five digit but it is just not for me. I like the 42 mm version so much I bought both.

I think 40mm is a great size except for maybe the SD, I guess Rolex is just adjusting to the younger generation that want larger watches.

I like both references. If I have to choose I would take the 16570.

42mm for me. Voted with my feet and sold my 40mm for the 42mm which is vastly superior i.m.o.

Boy, do I love the dial and hands of that watch........

But I do prefer the 6 digit over the 5.

I’m torn on this one. I love my 6 digit black face, but the 5 digit polar is what made me get into the Exp. II

When I first saw 16570s I loved the polar look. I was still young then so I always sort of referenced it to what I know which was the GMT Master as my father had one. It looked very similar to the GMT Master in my opinion, but basically customized by Rolex to be a rugged explorers watch which I really liked as I was a huge Indiana Jones fan back then, it really let my imagination roam free. I always said I would get one one day as a kid.

On the the other hand I do like the 6 digit as it feels more of a standalone watch now and more of an original design rather than a GMT Master Indiana Jones edition from when I was young.

So I can really kind of go either way. The 6 digit though ended up bringing me to the black dial rather than polar though as I feel the proportions feel better with the maxi dial.

However I still want a polar 16570 one day as it was the original one I came to love.
