44mm Novelty Steel vs 42mm ROO Vampire
Hi everyone.
I own a 42mm ROO Vampire back from 2016 When I got married. Now I have a chance to sell it for the same price I got it and trade it with a 2014 44mm Novelty Steel + $2k. Is that a good deal? I have put pictures of the two here. Thanks a lot guys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

No question about it. I'd do it, assuming the 44 is in good shape and comes from a reliable source. 2014 will probably need a service soon so you might want to factor that in. If it is the one in the picture, the bezel seems to have a chip at around 9. That's about 2.5k to replace, on top of the service.

I own a 44mm 26405CE which I love and it sees the most wrist time as well. I'd do it if I were in your position.

Yes. It is the one in the picture. So do you still think it’s a good idea? Cos I have to do it by tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

if you like the black dial, then the new 42mm with black dial and black ceramic bezel is another great option to consider. |

IDK .. if it is indeed a chip and you'll want to fix you are looking at probably north of 4k (service + new bezel). Might be better off looking for another trade (and maybe a newer watch).

The 44 bezel is the old hazy style, I'd pass for newer one with the crisp vertical finish.

Have replaced my elephant for 26405CE, no regrets there. Fells like level above in every aspect. Went and bought new one...

I own both watches and I absolutely recommend getting the 44mm. My 26400SO gets much more wrist time. It just looks better overall and it has the ceramic bezel too to help with bezel scratches. Bottom line: I would do it if I were you.

For the right one I would do it in a heartbeat. I love my SS 26400 -- goes great with the GP strap, black or white rubber. Very comfortable. Not popular on these forums but still one of my favorites resale value be damned. And after 5 years mine is still pretty much perfect except for the buckle.

Thanks for all the replies. Just to be clear. The one in the photo is 26400 that you guys are talking about?
Is the 2014 year a problem in your opinion? Cause I’m trading the 2017 watch to a 2014 and still confused abt it. I’m supposed to make the deal this afternoon. Please do help me make this decision. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hi. Thanks for the reply. It’s a problem because there is no newer model available for sale now. And I can’t afford the more expensive new model. This might be my last chance for the 44mm novelty. And it’s true that there is a ding on the side of the bezel. Should I keep my 42mm or make the switch? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
