Is the 5711 PP Nautilus WG or PT?
Excuse my ignorance I really do not know and have never done any research on PP watches as they’re way out of my league. I noticed that Gray’s are currently selling these pieces for near 70k!!! what’s the MSRP on this watch? I will have to let me self into the PP website and browse through their watches, just for the hell of it!

OP, nearly all of currently produced Patek watches are on their website along with descriptions of the case, metal, movement , and price.

If you are new to Patek then welcome...you will find most of the information on the Patek website or by google “Patek 5711” or “Patek Nautilus”. The prices you have found on the 5711 are all above MSRP. Only Patek has the MSRP listed...otherwise, information can also be gained from visiting your local AD. I’m sure if you are a loyal client then you can hopefully get one at MSRP.

Welcome to PP!
Most of the current production Nautilus are SS or rose gold. Only 5712 (strap), 5724, 5740 and 5719 are white gold. Good luck! |

Don't forget about the Nautilus 5713. It is white gold and has 2 karats in diamonds (48 diamonds total), but good luck finding one. The reference was discontinued in 2011. I have one (purchased for MSRP and no sales tax in early 2017) and I could not be happier.

The 5713 was discontinued much later, around 2015. It´s still listed in the 2014 PP catalogue.

This is what puzzles me... When did the 5711/1A get so hyped that someone wants it as their "first watch"? I remember back in 2012 I couldn't justify spending 25K on a steel watch (Nowadays I can because somehow already have justified paying 80K for a gold watch).
My first watch was never in the 25K range. I was content and happy with something in the 7-9K range (I got an entry level Rolex as my first one). |

Thanks for the clarification. That may explain why mine has pins rather than screws. I do not know the production year (I did not see it on the COA). I may pay to get the registry information on my watch, just for kicks.

When the 40 anniversary came out it was already booming unfortunately. I remember I couldn’t get one without paying nearly double for it. Back then I couldn’t justify it... fastforward a few years I definitely can seeing the current prices for it. The hype started just around when Stern announced nautilus would be discontinued and then the supply started to dry up along with an increased interest |
