does patek 39mm seem small?

I tried on a calatrava and a AC, both 39mm - both seem small on my tiny wrist. I seem to think 40mm - 41mm is perfect for a dress watch. Reconsidering my interest in a 5205...hmmm

IMO 39mm is large for a dress watch.

surely depends on what size wrist you have

and also whats your daily wearer, as if its a AP or ss sports rolex , its always gonna look small

IMO 39mm is small, but it comes down to personal taste so I imagine you will get a range of replies.

i was all set to get a patek but now i might look at other brands for a dress watch. Love the manufacture, but not sure i want to stay at 39mm. 40mm would be really nice to have. Might go lange, might not get anything at all. They are like a small 39mm too, not a bigger 39mm. Tough tough tough

5205 is 40mm, if you still want to get a Patek dress watch you can try 5235R (40.5 mm and wears larger than a 5205) or a 5905. (42 mm and wears significantly larger than a 5205). 5212 is 40 mm too but not sure how it wears compared to a 5205.

There are also quite a few grand complication models over 40 mm

Both the 5227 and the 5205 have a concave bezel and smaller dial, resulting in the feeling that they wear small. 5905 does too but it is 42mm so still wears a bit bigger.

The 5960R was 40mm with a concave bezel and I never thought of it as looking small. My wrists are 8”

All dress watches will initially feel smaller but after a bit of wearing you’ll realize especially with precious metal, 39mm+ is quite large

Dress watches look good in all sizes. My wrist is about 7 1/4”-7 3/8”.

I'm not sure if any argument holds water after this post. Just beautiful and truly shows off the best the brand has to offer.
