Incoming 5712 (a lovely surprise)
I got called by my AD yesterday (out of the blue) saying he had a 5712 for me if I wanted one.

I thought for all of about 1 millisecond before saying ill pick it up tomorrow!

I bought a watch for my wife today as well in the thread below. So all in all a double watch fest!

The 5712 is mesmerisingly beautiful. I never appreciated it fully until I saw it in person properly a while back. The asymmetry of the dial just makes this watch for me. Totally in love.

I can't believe I once disliked the layout of the 5712. It has to be one of the most beautiful watches ever.

Double incoming with AP and PP? I'm not familiar with AP Divers - any chance you can steal that once in a while and pull it off?

Yep I was never a fan of the complication itself. I never asked my AD for one even after seeing it in the flesh but he knew that I loved how it looked. And then a few weeks later, I get a call!

Actually its the second time I have had this happen in the last year or less. Was scheduled to pick up an AP and then got called and offered a Patek as well. Last time was a 26405CE and a Patek 5711.

Actually I really like that diver. Its stunning in the flesh and a great man's summer watch. Its a man sized watch and the current strap is way too big for my wife. They have ordered a short strap for her and until that arrives I guess I can wear it
