Black or white MB?

Looks like it's now a trend to do porcelain/ceramic stuff on pens...
http://www.montblanc.com/products/ma...ite.106071.php

The white one has a blue Meissen logo, while the black one has a silver Meissen logo.
Both have a mother of pearl snowcap. It looks very "fat" but holding it has a very nice feeling.
The nib is rhodium not the usual 3 tone.

Want to ask the forum which one do you prefer? and why?
I'm in Tokyo atm and saw these in one of the department stores.
Absolutely gorgeous pen, with a price tag to boot...
I'll see if I can get one in Hong Kong.

Interesting Kai, hadn't seen these yet. Can't say as I care for the white one, looks too plasticky. I'd need to see the black one in person. Kind of like the new SUB-C, you really need to see it.

Let me know if you get one!

I have to agree with Chris. Don't really care for the white bodied MBs. Just not my cup of tea.

Another vote for black here, although I'd have to see the white in person.

Like others have said you really have to see it in person. They do look different when you see them. I like the white one.

Kai, I happen to like the white one because it is so different from their usual models but I'm sure the black on is very nice as well!!!

Thanks guys. I went to the boutique in HK and to my surprise the standard silverish version has a white star, not MOP, which I thought is different to the description in their website... The staff here in HK said they have only seen this white star version. Weird...

It feels bigger than the 149, weight wise about same. The nib is a "6" nib so not as big as the 149.
Very beautiful pen. has the Meissen blue sabre on the cap for the white version, and a silverish sabre on the black version (blue sabre looks much bigger).
I would hate myself if I ever drop one of these babies.

When using a non-gold pen, I tend to use one who's primary color is similar to the leather I am wearing that particular day... white would not work for me since the only white shoes I have are cross trainers and I tend not to wear a pen with while wearing those!

Yes there is a Meissen cross - a blue one on white porcelain and a silver one on black porcelain. Both crosses are quite prominant on the items.
