I hope I did not offend you. I was laughing at the fact that you didn't still have the Cobra. I have a rootbeer GMT 1675 too from a few year later but thought it would be great to see yours. I do appreciate your service and comments.

Please do not get the watch polished. Just like vintage cars and vintage art, its worth the most money when kept all original and untouched. It's ok to have had it serviced and changed the crystal. You did the right thing. If you listen to Eric Wind's lecture on vintage watches (on his website), he recommends exactly what you have done. Service and crystal, and keep the original crystal. Do not touch the case.
