They all look the same with the lights off.

It is the rarest of all variants and will likely command top value one day especially if discontinued in the current newer iteration.

It’s indeed the least produced model of all 15500s!

Correct and for the 15400 model as well and they are getting harder and harder to source on secondary.

The grey dial is incredible. Perfect balance of casual / formal imo.

15400ST grey was announced at SIHH 2017 and produced only during that calendar year (2017) basically a 10-8 month production period.

What about 2018? The 15500ST didn’t come out until this year so I’m sure they produced the 15400ST until it’s replacement earlier this year.

I think the grey dial is gorgeous. It’s more subtle, but also really distinctive IMO. Considering ordering one myself.

Sorry for the amateur photo...

Nice photo. It's a great monochrome look that splits the difference of dressy and casual. My silver dial seems to almost sparkle too much sometimes. Not surprisingly, there's an identical thread in the Rolex DJ 41 forum, "rhodium vs white and blue". No matter how you slice it, gray dials are unique and quite striking, matching everything under the sun.

I've tried both the blue and gray 15500 in the flesh and I think I'd pick the gray. The small changes made from the 400 to the 500 work better with the gray dial IMO.

I agree the grey is very distinctive while also being incredibly understated.

I think it looks nice in the shade, but in the sun, it just blends in with the case
