Icon17 Custom IEM

Anyone have, please post a pic.

Just got these and love em, Ultimate Ears Reference Remastered.

Use to travel and don't really want to carry another device, so using my phone - LG V50, it does have a dedicated dac chip so is pretty decent. Also using the Tidal app and MQA files.

I have been an IEM fan for many years, but never took the plunge to get them customized. I'm sure the improvement in comfort and sound isolation is worth it though.

Let's hear some details! I have earbuds in all the time so thinking I would dig these. Where, how and what is the process to get this done?

You'd have to google custom IEM and where you can get them done. Mine was just outside London. Had a demo session where I tried a bunch of models out. Tip if you do this - stick to one song you know well esp one with some bass and drums, so you get a good comparison. I then had an audiologist clean and take impressions.

The comfort factor alone and ease of taking them in and out over the foam tips is worth it. On top of that they sound amazing depending on how much you spend and what you drive them with.

I'm really thinking of doing this, I have Campfire Audio iem's and a dedicated DAP but think that the benefits of custom would be brilliant. I'm going to look into this.

Congrats OP. You really should try Qobuz as that's true lossless :)

Custom IEMs... have a few sets here (JH Audio, 64 Audio, UE, Noble, etc). Once you go custom it may be hard to go back to universals. Of course those soft tips on universals help greatly with ensuring a good fit. As for which i love the best, there is no best as it depends on what project is being worked upon and what 'tool' works best (task-based descision).
