In August I was with my parents, my mother in the hospital. Her elderly dog, whom she had for years and said he added “years to her life” started acting funny. Late at night I knew it was the end, he died peacefully in my arms. Before he went, I thanked him for bringing my mother so much happiness. I swear he understood. The next morning I had to break the news to my mom as she lay in her hospital bed. It was a very sad time.
We don’t deserve dogs is absolutely right. |

We would be lost without our pups. We have lost many due to old age and disease but always remember them fondly. Especially each Christmas as they all have an ornament on the tree. This was the last one we lost, Butcher. 10, almost 11 years he was my buddy.

Dogs are far better than humans as far as I'm concerned.

My best friend Gracie died in August, she was 14.
I don't know who said this, Dogs lives are too short, their only fault, really. Another one, She is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are her life, her love, her leader. She will be yours, faithful & true, to the last beat of her heart. You owe it to her to be worthy of such devotion. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

We lost Chunky in June just short of his 11th birthday, not a day goes by when I don't think of him, and then the tears start

Nothing quite like a Bulldog. We lost our Boo 4 years ago when she was 12. I miss her and think about her every day. She was that once in a lifetime dog. Randy |

I currently have my last dog, a twelve year old Yorkie named Catie.
She is truly my best friend, follows me everywhere, even to the bathroom. My wife tells me that when I leave the house she sulks by the door until I return. I know she only has a few years left, which pains me, so I try to make each day special. I dread the day she leaves us and can’t imagine dealing with the loss. Due to my age, any other pet would probably outlive me and for that reason will not have another.
