Hello all,

I would like to ask if its. Ormal for a rolex watch to lose almost a minute within a month plus.
Rolex was bought brand new from AD (sub two tone) 3 months ago. I have noticed after wearing it daily that it almost loses a minute after a month. Is this normal because for such an expensive watch i didnt expect that. Please advice as it gets me paranoid. Should i sent it to get checked?

Try to more precisely measure how much it looses in 24hrs. Let us know.

Well if it loses 2sec a day (which is far from bad) and you wear it without setting it then it'll lose a minute a month.

Yes it is probably normal. You can google to find how different resting positions can help to regulate your watch, that is slow down a watch that is a bit fast. Or speed up a watch that is a bit slow.

If I remember correctly,to be COSC certified, a movement has to be running -4/+6 sec/day, so 1min/month is good enough ...

As mentioned earlier, try to estimate how much your watch looses or gains over 24h.

Make sure you don't leave it next to something that has magnetic attraction, TVs, microwaves etc...

2 seconds off a day (99.9% accurate) would be about a minute a month.

Perhaps you are a Quartz kind of guy.
