Dumb newbie question
How do you keep the seconds hand from moving in order to setup the time to the atomic clock or any other source? I am used to rolex and you can pull the crown and the seconds hand will stop completely, how do you do it in a 5167?
Thanks Simon |

Reverse pressure on the crown stops the second hand.

Non hacking movement
The movement is non hacking so you can either be off by a little (few seconds) or I believe by rotating the stem clockwise slightly you can stall the seconds hand to be able to set it to the second. Honestly I am fine with being a few seconds off as I set my watches a minute or two early.
I may be off on the clockwise rotation part....I'll take a look at mine when I get home.

Well I was thinking the same about the 5712, but decided I don't care that much and if I am not exactly on time it won't kill me

Will this damage the movement though?

A bit more tricky, but another way to match the seconds is when you "wake" the watch after the power reserve runs out. I guess that only works if you have multiple watches, though...

I just discovered this accidentally but it's 'counter-clockwise' pressure on the crown (turning the minute hand backwards). Just a swift flick will stop the seconds hand.

Same for setting my Omega Speedmaster.
Best when PR is low-- set prior to winding.

I found this out by accident with my 5070.
