Found some watches in the garbage

Amazing what people throw out. My uncle was taking out the garbage and found these two (Russian?) watches. They work pretty well, but they are really beat up.

And here's just my first mechanical watch, I want to get it fixed up and back on my wrist.

I didn't even get a chance to take a look yet, or pay for it. No time.

That is so cool that you found those watches, and as always you take great pictures as well.

Maybe the gold one, but the case is in very bad condition. I would have to get it replated.

Kyle the first two watches that you have are both made by "The First Moscow Watch Factory" the silver dialed watch is a Poljot, and the other one, which is older is a Pobeda - and it which means victory.

As for dates, the Pobeda is around 1950, the Poljot around mid 60's :-)

YeP - definitely Russian. Poljot (Flight) and Pobeda (Victory). On the back one of them simply states that is is 'autowinding'.

Cool find! I had a Poljot that I gave to a friend. He still wears it daily.

Good project watches!
