Tudor Sub Service Dials
Hello All,
I just bought a Tudor Snowflake Sub and am curious about differences in the dials. How can you tell the difference between an original and a service dial? I have seen variations in the T SWISS with the T wider or closer spaced to the SWISS. Any advice appreciated. Thanks in advance |

I don't think any of the watch you have in the picture is OEM. Basically if you find a watch with any if the parts shown....avoid it.

Thanks for the advice, but can you help me understand the differences? What exactly looks wrong with this one? Painful learning! Thanks again!

This is what it should look like. Notice the hands are skinnier.....the insert font is different. The dial font is different. The watch you have there is totally fake. Nothing is correct. Takes some experience to see the small details.

Yikes, now I see more what you are saying. I was really looking to see that the hands lume color matched the dial, and didnt really look at the size of the hands and the type details on the dial. A painful lesson, but thank you all just the same. I bought it at an auction, so not sure I will be able to return it, so I guess I will ebay it in a while.

It is illegal to sell counterfeit goods, also for an auction house. I can not see how they would force you to go through with the deal knowing that.

Don, you should be allowed to return a fraudulent item to an auction house.
It’s unethical for you to sell same item on eBay. They will stop the auction and shut your account down. Many of us on this board flag fraudulent eBay listings. Good luck to you. Peddling fake stuff is not cool . |

But back to the original question, the tritium snowflake service dials say "t swiss made t" (instead of "t swiss t" as original). And the luminova service dials simply say "swiss made". |

Fake or counterfeit are pretty strong terms for a watch that simply has some aftermarket replacement parts on it.
There is a watch for sale on HQ Milton now with the same type dial in blue with the wider spaced T and the more rounded S, and there is no mention of it being a service or fake dial.... Could it be a different version of a service dial? If I decide to sell the watch on Ebay, I of course will mention the replacement parts, I am a very honest guy! Back again to my original line of questions though, what are the differences between service inserts, or is there any difference in the fonts? Thanks again for your patience with me and my questions, I would like to avoid this kind of mistake in the future! Best-DON |

Could you post some more pictures of it? There are plenty of counterfeit snowflakes out there were only the movement is tudor. You might have one of those and then you can definitely return it.
Oh, an aftermarket dial that has the brand name on it is by definition counterfeit. The hands are "only" aftermarket. |

I must be missing something. You bought what you thought to be a true honest example of a Tudor, learned, as Gina Marie correctly stated, is fake, do NOT want to get your money back (why not?!) and are now going to sell it on eBay at a greatly reduced price by stating how it’s not authentic. Why would you do this? Why wouldn’t you fight for your money back after being so deceived?

Generally speaking, out of the factory if it has a date window, it'll have a cyclops but some owners don't like the distortion and choose to swap for a no-cyclops crystal. |
