LAWW - great job on my 1675 case!

I’ve read quite a bit on the folks at LAWW and been impressed with the case work I have seen in photos. Had a chance to personally experience the results this month when they refinished the case on a 1675 that I found, locally. It was a shame to see the Classic with a relumed dial and cracking hands... Case needed work, too. I really just wanted to see what LAWW could do on the case. That’s the only reason I took this one on...

Bottom line - their case work is incredible. My hat is off to their team. I love taking things back as close to correct as I can. For me, this is like restoring a classic car (which I used to do with my dad). However, this hobby does not take up as much space.

Would love to see your before and after shots. Here are mine. Have a good weekend!

They give it a wow factor! However, I would always note that it has been restored, so folks are not under the impression it somehow made it 50 years in this shape. I am a GMT guy. Love them! And what’s really cool is that I bought this from a regional airline pilot! They guy is a flier and he’s been using this watch for it’s intended purpose for many years. Neat to know the story on some of these pieces.

Nice results! How much did LAWW charges for a job like that?

Dang - they did absolutely outstanding work. Just goes to show that we all can use and constantly wear our watches and when the time comes in the future - get them looking like new.

Wonderful GMT.

I paid $700 plus shipping back. Price would be lower if one was a dealer and did lots of jobs with them.

I bought a NOS vintage service dial from one of the TS here on the forum, and colored the hands. Had to source a red back insert to be proper, too.

Great work and the overall restoration of the dial and hands is amazing too. The watch looks killer now. Great find to be able to restore it.

They transformed a very sloppy looking watch into a million dollar piece. Hats off to LAWW

It looks really nice. There's not much left of that pilot's watch though.

Quite true, Larry! I wish it was better preserved, but it was just a tool for the owners. Always love seeing your watches. You’ve owned some great ones! That 16750 is a beauty. Cheers.
