Rolex King Midas Ref. 3580 question
I'v spent days trying to figure this one out, so now I'm here. My most recent purchase a Rolex King Midas ref. 3580. The dial seems a little different compared to other King Midas's I have seen but then again each of them don't ever look 100% the same. Iv been comparing the dials with ref. 9630 and ref. 3580. On mine the swiss is a little higher and the 3rd character on "midas" isn't as pronounced at others. Iv been thinking maybe the dial was refinished due to water damage but the movement looks clean. I haven't been able to determine whether the dial has been untouched.
Anyone have more knowledge on this area of the King Midas that can teach me a thing or two? Thanks |

King Midas
Are all your posts that helpful !
You post 3 different size photos of three different watches, two of which are slightly out of focus, and expect me to notice the difference. It’s not supposed to be a quiz. An explanation would of been very helpful! We are not all watch makers ⌚️ Cheers Steve |

The hallmarking of 18K on the underside of the case and the color of the text on the movement is different. Those are the two differences I see in MonBK's photos at a glance. Not a Midas expert.

Not sure about the movement ‘ because the photos are not the same size it’s hard to compare. Also noted the caseback sealing o ring in one and not the other. I have since found out that the ref 3580 is the predecessor of the 9630 original. Maybe because the 9630 was limited to a 1000 pieces they changed the reference number. |
