6534 dial

I just picked up this 6534 ,from 1958, with the roulette date wheel. The dial is pretty rough, would you leave it as is, or find a replacement? Am I correct that although not a rare watch, original dials are difficult to find?[IMG][/IMG]

Sorry but this is an OBVIOUS redial - for starters look at the font on the word "Date" - not good!

Agree with Kippyhunt. Dial is obviously reprint and in a bad condition. Attached my 6534 original condition for your comparison. I beleive getting a correct original dial would be a very tough job.

There are radium burn on the dial if you look up closely. Overall the dial in good and clean condition consider its age

They will soon. All of the range is increasing in $ so I can only assume these will be next.

For me, it’s my birth year watch so I’m not selling it. I love it.

I have 6534 bought in 1959, used a fair bit and glass has scratches and black dial looks aged. Any idea how I can get about restoring this?
