I’ve noticed that quite a few 08s have sort of gone a bit flat....quite a bit less fruit overall. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Very nice. England 3 Cameroon 0.
My wife bought me a pair of Baccarat crystal wine glasses for my birthday, I'm not sure if I could taste any difference, but I didn't half feel posh. I confirmed it with my Butler, he said "yes, you're a posh tw**." which I guessed was a compliment. |

This is a rare photo from you, Roger. Young wine and you're absent a watch.

Hahahahha!!! Very perceptive my friend!!! We honestly couldn’t remember the last time we opened a bottle of Grgich Hills!!! So we decided to see where it was. I was pretty surprised where it was - for a 14 - it was quite good! It was one of the first wineries we visited together so many years ago - on the Wine train - and we’ve kept it in the cellar as a staple since then! We took it back a few vintages on Sunday evening lol (My watch always comes off right when I walk in the door every evening!!! — I’ll remember though for my next post!!) Keeping me on my game! Disclosure, my pallet is not the most refined.
I have moved on from the "off dry" wines of Gewurtztraminer and Riesling, Marc gave me a great recommendation from the Hugel family that I have enjoyed immensely and am now enjoying Chardonnay. Red wine gives me an instant and massive headache but will forgive Port the pain, but no other. I have tried wine from California and quite like the "vanilla" aroma of the Chardonnay from that region, I have not tried French because I have enjoyed American so far. I dont spend a fortune, about 20 to 50 quid which I guess is about $30 to $60. Any recommendations in that price range would be gratefully received please.

Good Oz wine. Fragrant. Velvety. Chocolatey. Better if decanted first. Cheers |
