Warranty question

When you buy a watch from an authorized dealer out-of-state, for warranty service do you have to go through the dealer or do you go directly to OMEGA?

As long as the watch was purchased from an AD, out of state or not, the warranty is good. You can send it directly to Omega if you like. I've contacted the customer service dept via their website many times and always received a prompt reply to my inquiries. They can advise you how to send it in or what your other options are depending on what you need.
