I just picked up a 116622 platinum dial yacht master, but was in the market for the two tone blue sub. Unfortunately at least over here in NZ, they are hard to find in pre-ceramic (only thing I'd consider) and they're going up in value.

My advise is to keep the bluesy, and get a platinum dial yachtmaster for just a subtle alternative piece.

Very much agree with the statement above: pics of my 2 piece Rolex combo.

Hi everyone!

I really like the Yacht Master with the Pt dial and I want to buy a pre-owned 16622 from the years 2002 to 2005.

My plan is to have it serviced at RSC after buying it. Can I get a time keeping accuracy within COSC limits for as long as ten years? (which is an affordable time interval for me to service to watch at RSC)

Or should I go for the newer models with the green tag at the similar price range? (not a YM but an AK or Explorer 1 in my case)

Thanks for your comments in advance!

Mid sized Yachtmaster re-polished

I recently had my mid-sized platinum dial Yachtmaster re-polished by an official Rolex service centre after 15 years of hard wearing.
The cost was $ 300,- but after 4 weeks of waiting for it the watch came out looking like new again.
Very worthwhile doing!

Just got my self a YM. Very nice watch indeed. Coming from a no date sub. Def like this on a lot better as it is not as common. Great review and nice pictures.

You got to try the YM ever rose. Absolutely stunning. Try it as it looks way better on the wrist. In my view; YM is a step up by comparison to a Sub or GMT. Thinner, smoother profile and looks more luxurious. My AD has an ever rose I guess around $14k. I’m really tempted. I know I could get a discount so will wait for him to make the first step

I forgot to mention that I have a Presidential with a blue dial, diamonds in the face, factory diamond bezel and diamonds in the lugs. I did trade in the blue face Submariner for a blue face, two tone Yacht-Master, 16623. I just sent the blue face Yacht-Master back and they're going to put a white face in it. I just felt that the white face really popped and I just like the look of the white face better than the blue face. I already had a President with a blue face and a Submariner with a blue face and I just thought that the white dial Yacht-Master looked better and now I don't have two Rolex's, both with blue faces...

folks, do we believe the 116622 will go up in value by any degree of significance? Buying a DD118239 and no sure if I should keep the YM or sell it. Bought new in June of 18...

What is the reference number of the newest Yachtmaster 37mm Oysterflex Watch? (Rose Gold). I want to buy one but I want to be certain I’m comparing apples to apples.

Glidelock clasps seems to be a major improvement to insure excellent fit.

What is the reference #?

I put a red date wheel in my 16622, for little bit of extra RED!

Rubber Strap?

I have the Rhodium Yachtmaster. Has anyone put it on a rubber strap like the Everest or RubberB?

That looks darn sexy! I have my wife wearing a men's large SS/G Cartier Santos which she won't give up. But, she recently resized a Tudor B/B 41mm of mine and started wearing it, which it looks too big. Since I wear my 40mm ss/g YM, I think I'm gonna get her this, so I can get my Tudor back.

Thanks!

Now I am feeling like I have a watch that is not as durable as the sub and not one I could wear comfortably to the pool or beach. I have contemplated selling it; however, the most I have been offered is arounf $15K, major bath. What do all of you think??? I also own a SD4K and am thinking about the new SD43. Thanks!!
Can you upload a few photos of your RG 40m Yacht Master?
Thanks.

So what are the thoughts on the mid-sized Yachtmaster movements? I was looking to buy a 35mm. What do people think of that movement compared to the one in the 40mm watches?

Hi Kevin. The 16622 did not exist in blue dial, only in platinum dial. The blue dial only came in 2012 with the updated ref 116622. Cheers.

Could be, if you have a way to verify it, great. Otherwise I'd stay away.
