10 year Anniversary watches
This is a landmark year for me and my wife. She is turning 40 years old this month and next month is our 10 year wedding anniversary. She’s been an amazing partner over the years and every day that passes reinforces how lucky was to somehow convince her to agree to spend the rest of her life with me. She wasn't a watch freak before we met but she's spoiled for Rolex now that she's with me.
I recently traded up with a couple of other watches and got a new Bluesy back in May which I’ve wanted for a long time. It scratched my itch while I was on the waiting list for the ceramic Daytona, which honestly I actually thought I would never actually get. Little did I know my number would come up just a few weeks later for the Daytona, and I had to pull the trigger because that chance doesn't come along every day. Anyway, I wanted to do something special for my wife for her birthday and our anniversary so I took her to the only local Rolex AD I knew of in Austin (Benbridge- mixed reviews, I know) and let her pick out a watch. She picked one of the most beautiful watches I've ever seen- a ladie's Datejust 28mm in two tone stainless and everrose gold, with an olive colored dial that is pretty much "Rolex green" and diamond markers. The service was good, although the best the AD would do price-wise was let me out the door tax free, but I went ahead and bought it for her. I could have gotten it for less somewhere else but I wanted her to have a special experience with the dealership people making her feel special. I was happy to do it and I'm just as excited about it as she is, if not more. So, here's a picture of our new watches together, happily commemorating our life adventure together so far. What a wonderful story and sweet and very special gift to your wife. Her watch is beautiful! That green dial is so pretty. Every time I see that green dial, it makes me want one. Love the green and dark purple dials. Congratulations to the two of you on your beautiful new watches
