Watches were never an investment anyway - they're a passion/hobby (although it turns out they've done quite well).

Over the last 4 or 5 years prices for vintage/2nd hand have risen remarkably. Ive bought and sold several over the years and one that I paid £3750 for in 2009 went recently for a little over £10000 ! Yes., you would have returned more if you invested in Apple back then but Im not sure that other investments would realise such a return
