Spent the weekend in Okinawa. Beautiful place. Enjoy.

The girlfriend had a conference down there. I just tagged along as her arm candy.

Dinner the first night, breakfast the next morning.

These statues are called Ceasars. They guard the entrance of almost everyone's house there to ward off evil spirits.

AW Root Beer and Hamburgers! Wow! Had to hit there. None of that in Japan where I live.

Sunset and a very strange fruit that we saw. Per the hotel staff this is not a pineapple. They told us the name in Japanese but I can't remember. They said it tastes awful.

Nightcap. Okinawan shochu called Aomori with brown sugar from the island and umeboshi (sour pickled plum) It was awesome. We had two each!
