16803 engraving

Two 16803, but both look a little off in terms of model engraving? Were late 80s watches known for this?

Any more thoughts on this? Top photo looks off to me but I know some older watches are not always as clean and clinical as modern pieces. Looks like the “03” has been hand engraved? The second photo was another watch showing another weird looking “3”.

Rest of the watch looks good and seller credibility is not in question for me, but looks weird.

Top is fine. Bottom looks like the 3’s been redone at some point probably due to wear from the end links, or may have been a 16800 converted to a two tone.

I’ve had earlier watches look like they were done by a 4 year old with a blunt nail, all original Rolex engravings.
