Cartier v Tiffany

Let's say you are between two comparable pieces of jewelry in terms of price and materials. I think I know the answer of most but which would you chose?

What I am looking at is gold obviously not silver.

Thanks,

E

Without looking into it, or being a jewelry connoisseur I hold Cartier to a higher regard.

I know nothing of these things and I’m not a fan of Cartier watches.

But I just asked the wife and she says Tiffany.

I like both brands for Jewelry...
That said I always thought Tiffany was a little higher
prestige wise... Maybe that's only in NYC though...

Cartier all day.

My wife said, “Cartier then stopped and said they are the same. I have mostly Tiffany” then I laughed. I think it depends on what your significant other likes, if it’s even a gift in the first place.

Wife has a Tiffany engagement ring and we both have Tiffany wedding bands. That said, if considering between the two for choice of watch, I would pick Cartier.

Cartier of the two recited but personal preference would be custom made, VCA or Bulgari (depending on what you are looking for...)

There are many more interesting brands too, though, so I wouldn't necessarily go for either. Breguet?
