Had no idea a Half Link was a sizing option

Had my 15407 adjusted today and the boutique asked if I wanted to try a half link as they thought I may be inbetween the one I was adding. Never knew this was an option and thought others might not know either. If I remember correctly the set comes with a link and a half. Adding one for me was perfect but nice to know it's available.

Thats interesting. My ROC currently feels a smidgen loose right now as it quite cool etc. If I remove another link its unfortunately feels a touch tight. How much do these 1/2 link and 1 1/2 link options cost?

Also AP do seem a touch stingy with their bracelet sizes. Currently I have 1 link removed only on my ROC and I am about a 7.25 to 7.5 inch wrist. My son is a 7.75 and he had to remove 3 links on his Sea Dweller to size it correctly. I had to remove 4 links on a Seiko just recently....

Some of you larger wristed folk must have to add links or certainly not remove any when sizing your AP bracelets.

I can’t imagine a 1 1/2 stainless link being that much, but it is great to have the option to adjust a half a link. The oyster Rolex bands have both links and clasp adjustments which really make for a fine adjustment and that’s not counting the extension on the SDs.

i think it is about 300$ for the 1.5 ss link, and 750$ or so for the gold 1.5 link. at least the last time i checked... for my nautilus the pp 1.5ss link was 200$ shipped (i recall)

Sadly they don’t offer the 1.5 link in the IP config!

Is there actually any physical difference in fitment between adding a 0.5 link vs switching a 1 link for a 1.5 link ?

They don’t do a 0.5 link it’s a 1.5 link, doesn’t help I have heard even AP staff refer to it as a half link!

I have a 1.5 link on my ROC and it did the trick. Odd but I didn't need to do it for my RO. Both are 41mm and both fit great and feel same now. ROC 1.5 link in gold was approx $1K, and that was around 3 years ago.

Case and caseback thickness can pull the point of origin of the bracelet off the case higher or lower to the wrist so increasing or decreasing the length of the bracelet only by a few mm but enough to change fit.

The 1.5 link made all the difference for a perfect fit for my 15400. I seem to recall it was around $300-400. Email Clearwater.

1.5 link is a must for some. Turned the fit of my 15300 from good to perfect.

Don’t dispute that and I was close to needing on for my RO, I was just stating AP only do a 1.5 link and not a 0.5 (half link) as it’s been mentioned here.

Seems like a good option. But looks like 1.5 link would only help with making bracelet larger not smaller

If you are just off a little bit and taking one additional link out makes it too tight, you take two out and add in the 1.5.

The 1.5 made my 15400 perfect also. I bought mine slightly used from a forum member, but it was $300 new.

Yup the 1.5 link made my 15202 fit perfectly. Cost in gold was pretty crazy, about $1k...but necessary for me to get the right fit.

I bought a 15400 from watchfinder in the UK and when I needed a 1.5 link they ordered one from AP and sent it to me express free of charge. Have to laugh when grey dealer not only has better stock than the AD but also better service and follow up too!

The link itself works great but honestly I really feel like it messes up the look. On a regular watch not too big of a deal, but is painful on the beautiful Royal Oak bracelet.

I disagree and barely even notice mine now. How often are you looking at the bottom of your bracelet anyhow?

Normally I would agree with you, but I love the bracelet on this watch so much I am spinning my wrist around to admire it pretty much any day I have the watch on!

Sam - I am not sure. I just called and it was an available option for the IP. Likely a timing issue though.
