Great act Angelo, and thanks for sharing. My kid just called me today asking if I’d spend a week climbing and hiking in Yosemite with him this spring. I need to bring an extra watch. Great idea and thanks again!

That’s what it’s all about. There comes a time where seeing your loved ones feel joy is more important than material items. I plan to do the same thing once my son is older. I want to see him enjoy it.

Thanks for sharing and giving us all something to think about.

That’s the least silly thing that I’ve ever heard. It’s an amazing gesture, and the sentiment behind it is something that should inspire all of us to take stock in what really matters in life... Well done, Dad !!!

Beautiful move. I think it would be nicer to see your sons wearing your watches than you wearing them. Nicely done.

The Explorer, OP39, and Tudor Pelagos will be leaving my collection, and although I’ll miss strapping them on and admiring their beauty, I’m quite content with my decision.

The lucky one took the Explorer

Awesome Angelo. I hope one day my kids will want my watches. Would make me feel good to give them away to them and see them enjoy them.

The BB and Nomos are a killer pair to wear.

Excellent move Angelo. They will enjoy the watches for years, just knowing where they came from.

I have no children. At some point, I'll try and identify some First Responder, and a guy in a VA hospital that would each like a nice Rolex. I've been thinking about what to do with my other watches in my very modest collection.

Nice to be able to do what you did and gift your watches. I could with one of my kids but not the other. Consider yourself blessed!!!

Very generous indeed and very clever!

It reminds me an old friend from my club, who had 4 Lotus and only kept one, giving the 3 others to his three grand children.

What?

No not 3 Lotus watches: an Esprit, a seven S4 and an elan Coupe. He kept his Elan convertible and still drives it from time to time although he is 90 years old. He gave the cars 20 years ago when he was 70.

OP, at least you kept a Black Bay ... Its of the same family ...

I have a similar plan when my kids are older. Hopefully am still alive then.

Will have my two daughters pick one each. Then my two sons will splt the rest equally.

I will just be left with whatever watch i buy last when i turn 50.

Not silly at all. Far better they associate the watch with good times and get to enjoy it with you

What a lovely gesture for you all Angelo.

Very kind of you sir! I’m sure they appreciate it. And I’m sure it’ll bring you great enjoyment seeing them having it on their wrists.

Such a good father you are. Remember I would have been 15 when my dad use to give me his day date YG to wear to school.... but I never liked it back then... eventually when I grew up I realised how much courage and a big heart it takes to give your watch even to your son...

One other thought.....it sure would be cool to have a picture with all of you and your watches . And if you shared it here (at least some wrist shots), it would be even cooler.
