I have a friend that owns a pawn shop in town, has a small room where the door latch is released with a button on the inside, once transaction is done the button is pressed and the door unlocks.
Sorry to hear about your traumatic experience, hope you get it back, hopefully it was the drivers real plates |

What kind of idiot robs someone inside a bank. I am sure the law will catch up with him, though I know that is small comfort at this point. Sorry to hear this happened, I’ve done a couple of deals at banks and this is nuts.

Sucks, you're the 3rd TRF'er in So Cal that this has happened to. Same MO also. Is it the same dude in the pics of this linked thread?

Same thing happended in me inside a Orange County Starbucks. Never got watch back and police never took the case serious. They were too busy with other stuff. And they had him on camera.

Sorry to hear about this OP. I heard of an Art Registry that has a watch section for posting stolen items. It may help.
I hope they nail the bastards. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hopefully you weren’t hurt in fall? Thankfully it was a grab and go rather than violence.
Karma will handle it.

Unfortunately I’ve personally seen this type of “grab and dash” at a bank location when I visited one earlier this year. The owner handed over the watch for the thief for inspection, thief handed over a large envelope full of $1 bills. When the owner started to open that envelope, the thief ran thru the lobby and hopped into a getaway car which drove off.
Police took a report, banks internal security team assisted, but that was the extent of it. It was a 116610ln. Just a helpful tip to the members here: I asked the police officer after finishing the owner’s statement what was the best way of selling something F2F, and his reply was that anyone is welcome to complete a transaction at the local police station lobby |

Sorry for your loss but I am glad to hear you are safe.
Report theft to Rolex. Collect money from your insurance policy and move on. Let the police deal with this scum bag; karma come down on that person hard. The thief is already kind of screwed because he took an SD4k which isn't a common watch. |

This is so sad 😞. One should hire a bodyguard then in order to make such deals safe

Security guards at Banks are generally there to deter, not confront. Very sorry OP. Hope your watch finds its way back to you.

Robbed in a FTF sale of Seadweller SD4K in Los Angeles

Well I have learned something about the origins of that saying. I always had the complete opposite in mind when hearing it growing up. OP - sorry this happened to you. Goes beyond a scam and is just brazen criminal behaviour. Terrible shame how people get to a circumstance in life to carry out a crime like this. Let’s hope you can recover your watch by one means or another.

Glad you are unhurt. Hope the watch is insured. The former is the most important.
If something of value (but not great sentimental value) to me is insured, if it gets stolen I never want to see it again. |

Sorry to hear this, if you use a bank or any location make sure it is one with double security doors, ie only one opens at a time, so there can be no snatch and run.
