Got me a new PAM 422

Hey Guys,

So after going into an AD about a year and a half ago with my mind set on a complicated Pam in the form of the 270. I discovered it was discontinued and replaced with the 533.
While I liked the 533. I didn't love it mainly due to the stealthed out black hands.

Anyway I stumbled across the 372 and 422. The 372 while nice was far too simple for my liking. I know it's loved and adored by the paneristi and for good reason but just not for me.
The 422 with running seconds and the power reserve is just perfect!
I even got past the date and manual wind.

Reason being the manual wind forces you to have the ritual of interacting with you timepiece which is quite lovely to experience the butter smooth winding action.
Date. Well. How often do you check that and even keep it in sync :p

Anyway. Got a great deal from my AD and although I missed out on tax free after trying my luck I am still over the moon with it. No buyers remorse here!

Pic time....

Now barring a pam689 being in a store I walk into. This will be the only Pam I need in my life for a while.
My 297 of course will probably stay as well ;)

YES! Absolutely gorgeous watch, huge congrats buddy, this is currently my favorite PAM too and it's next on my list. All this talk about 422's is making me impatient, can't wait. Enjoy it in the best of health!

That dial is beautiful. I'm with you on coming across a 688/689, I'd move heaven and earth of I found one.

Congrats! I love mine. Put a nice black strap on it and see how classy it looks. Completely changes it.

Wow....I could have compiled this post as I was exactly in the same position between the 533 and the 422. Note "was" as I brought this home today too!

Definitely better looking than the 372 and without the weak plastic "glass".

I'm glad this thing is missing the fat and long gold hands of the 217/127 because it still makes sure mine remain the special one. :)

Enjoy.

I am trying to decide between the 372 and 422 too. What is a good price for a good condition 2013-2015 422 going for?

I also just bought the 422, loving it very much, this is my second PAM, my first being 441. Totally different feeling between them. I wear my Pam everyday now, my other Rolex watches are sitting in the closet gathering dust now..LOL

A real beauty and if not a 372 that is a must and that reserve on the back is a great feature
