Just got this today, but wanted to share the backstory as I know Rolex would love to hear it! :)
My last purchase was between the Air King and the JLC Reverso Grande Ultra Thin. My last purchase was the JLC True Seconds in pink gold, so I was on somewhat of a JLC kick. I went back and forth between the 2, and really they were dead even! Soooooo, I decide on the Reverso. Paid and ordered! 4 days later I open the box and the watch is scratched to hell!!!! Evidently they sourced it from a boutique and did not do a QC check. Later they admitted they did not do a QC check. Well they said they could possibly find me another one in 3-4 weeks. Long story short, I cancelled the order and went with the Air King. It is now on my wrist and I could not be happier! The AD was Windsor Jewelers in Charlotte, NC, and they could not have handled this situation any better! Even threw in a really nice Rolex hat! ROLEX SAVES THE DAY!!!!!

My next purchase is the air king, tried one on at the AD last week, had one in stock to take away, but having work done on the house, and I just know it will cost me more than planned, couldn't justify. I'll have one this year without fail, after the builders have gone, and I've had a count up!

again, every time I see this watch from one of you guys, I love it. It is just so different from anything else Rolex has, I am always trying to justify buying it and I keep chickening out.
Like a Chinese water torture, it will get me soon enough.
