That pussycat was not worth it.
Again, I'm with you!!! As long as I don't touch the critters, I'm ok. One lick or if I pet them, and I'm running to wash up!!! I too have had a few dangerous contacts, but not for years.... My eyes swell like a frog!

My next dog is likely a Frenchie, but the PWD is a stunning option as well! Your's may soon be added to the list after a little research.

When it comes to allergies, you name it my family suffers from it. My wife use to be the worst but in the last few years I have now become allergic to more things than I can count. But we have had two Giant Schnauzers with zero problems. They are not a giant breed as the name suggest just larger than the standard and miniature. They are however considered a large breed and are most comparable in size and shape to a Doberman only non shedding longer coat. The Giants are more commonly all black whereas their smaller cousins can be equally found in pepper-salt. I believe the standard have the same characteristics as the giant as far as coat and allergies. Great family dog. Our current is 11.5 and our kids are 10.5 and 6.5 so they don’t know life without their furry big brother.

There are only benefits of having such a dog at home. It will be a good friend for your children and for your whole family. It's a hyperactive breed of dogs, which doesn't have any problems with health, because it is pretty rare breed. It's a good variant for allergic people, but anyway, it's better to buy some air purifiers for your home as your family suffer from allergy. Sometimes it's good to buy a humidifier(but it depends on the level of humidity in the house). So, my advice is to get this nice dog and some air purifiers to get rid of any dust in the air.

x2 on the Vizsla, one of my friends has one and it's the most amazing dog i've ever met. His names finnegan, and he's the most proper dog i've ever met lol. they are excellent companions. Likely what I will get if I ever got a dog.

Update-

After 8 months of fruitless searching for a lagotto, we switched gears and got this little labradoodle nugget named Molly. The boys are over the moon. Let the fun begin!

WaT????

You hurt Norma's feelings ...

As you might expect, being a doodle she's very sensitive

Very appealing pooch. How is the hypoallergenic aspect?

They are all well known for it, and I confirm, my son and I, both highly allergic to animal dander, are fine around ours.

That’s good to know

There’s talk around these parts of adding to our family, and I showed Andrea this thread …. I wonder how this breed would get along with Norma?

Thanks everyone. She is about 30 pounds, so I’d say medium sized. She is very lean, and looks hilarious/hideous when soaking wet. She loves the beach with my kids.

My entire family (myself excluded) are allergic to everything on earth, apparently. Except molly. She is bathed once every ten days, never smells like a dog (but will smell like the beach or the field if we are hunting). My clean freak wife lets her sleep in the boys’ beds. This is telling.

She’s great.
