15300 going to Clearwater - again
Quick set date failure - again.
Well, had a related issue fixed a number of years ago as a “known issue.” Then, about 2.5 years ago, no bueno on quick set, but I could advance the date via the last position. Now...deja by all over again. I had to do a full service for $1,350 2.5 years ago...If I were a betting guy, they’ll want to do another as my warranty is up Just venting... Love the watch, but it’s definitely high maintenance Vs. the Crown. Given Florida is a Covid hotspot, I am also thinking AP could shut down vs having limited schedule as they do now. Currently they swagged a 7-9 week turnaround. |

That’s very unfortunate for you. Do you happen to know if they upgraded the date wheel to newer one for you during your last service? There was thread not Long ago about mandatory date wheel changing by AP.

I feel for you, as I’m going through a similar dilemma. I have a G serial that needs servicing which can’t be done by any independents I’ve spoken to (there’s a broken cam), but at the same time I’m reluctant to send it off to Florida and have it get stuck there for a very long time if things get out of hand with the COVID situation. I’m starting to feel like it might almost be better to hold off until there’s some more certainty with what’s going on. Best of luck to you in getting your situation resolved and hope it gets resolved sooner rather than later! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I don’t know. Didn’t see a parts inventory. The first fix was a freebie. The second required a full service to “fix.” I’m hearing strains of the same song again... |

Sorry to hear that. I doubt AP will shutdown in Clearwater unless there is an internal outbreak. Everything down here is business as usual except bars.

Thanks for that. Though I guess you never know...I can get by setting the watch without the quick set feature, but it’s lame not having the watch working properly - even if I’m just wearing it around the house. |

Mine came back from AP service centre in July and after a weekend of wearing it when I came to set the date later that week the crown came straight off in my fingertips as I un screwed it.
Straight back and another 6-8 weeks wait as it needs another full service. Such is life, it'll be back soon.
