Rubber B Velcro - anyone have it?
Happy Saturday.... I think the rubber B Velcro has come up once or twice in the past when it was first announced, but does anyone actually own it? If so, can you post some pics and any opinions? (I know some of you may consider velcro on a Rolex sacrilege, but am interested in those who actually have used it on their own watch).... thanks !!

Just got it today. So far it feels great.
I still have both the glidelock and tang buckle versions. Good fit was always a challenge with the tang version, and the glidelock was a pain to swap out regularly. Need more time with the Velcro. |

Im curious to see the Velcro clasp side. Do you have any wrist shots? How secure does it feel? Thank you |

Here are some quick shots.
Initial thoughts: 1. Comfort level is unparalleled, esp if you are struggling to find a good fit with the tang 2. I suspect the underside "bulk" will go away once the strap gets seasoned 3. So far the "bulk" has not hindered my desk diving... need more time 4. In terms of security, if I tug on the watch, it feels as secure as other versions. You need some force to tear the velcro open, and the titanium loop opening is pretty small so it won't slip out as easily as one would expect |

I just don't like the idea of being able to see the 'scruffy' velcro material hanging out of the strap when it starts to catch and wear; just feels 'cheap' to me - but otherwise I have to say it's well engineered, I can imagine the fit is unparalleled, and of course the quality of the rubber will be second-to-none.
It's not for me; but from the 'tool watch' perspective, it scores points and has a place in the market. |

Anyone who's context is knocking about in and around the sea or generally casual-wear would get away with this strap. If you change your context to 'land-dweller', but still quite casual, then I would say the Tang-buckle version is better... and if you're an 'office-dweller', then glidelock clasp version or OEM bracelet is the way forward. That said; to each their own - I have no strong feelings on it. If someone rocked up to a professional meeting with me weating the velcro strap and a string band, I'd say good for you - looks cool. |

oooh I like the idea of having Velcro. I have the Everest tang and sometimes feel like I'm between holes. This would solve that. Hopefully we see more on the boards here

Thanks for the initial thoughts and pics! Will be interested to hear your thoughts after some more wear regarding the excess bulk where the rubber wraps through the titanium ring (e.g.do you find yourself bumping it or catching it on things, is it comfortable when resting your wrist on your desk, etc) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
