Battery for Breitling 2007 Aerospace Avantage

Looking to buy a battery for my 2007 Aerospace Avantage. Brought it into Birks in Toronto, Canada to get this done and after 2 weeks of them sending it to Breitling they were quoting me over $800 for an overhaul and would not just change the battery which they originally quoted me $150. Apparently Breitling will not change the battery on my watch due to it's age. I got the watch back as I was not going to spend $800 on it....

i'd like to buy a replacement battery myself and try to change it myself.

Any suggestion where I can source a battery? tried searching on the internet and was not able to find any....in the mean time I'll wear one of my panerai's but the Breitling was my Daily watch....

Be careful if you try to change the battery. I tried to change mine and something popped out. I had a jewler change the battery and now the alarm function does not work.

You may cringe, but I had my Breitling Areospace Evo battery replaced at a kiosk at the mall. Under $10. He could work the crown more skillfully than anyone I’ve seen. Don’t know if all the screws were torqued properly, but don’t swim or shower with it anyway. Five year battery warranty.

I have to replace mine too. Can someone recommend a place in L.A.? Thanks

FYI I use them, they have great prices and it's a Breitling Service center but they're in FLA. I have shipped to them before, no problems.

I heard Morgan's will do it. You can call and find out.

Sounds like breilting wants to replace the movement all together

if i remember correctly, thats a SQ movement cal. 79, which uses battery re 380. 380 is a Renata reference and it is identical to a SR936W. you can just source it from eBay or Amazon.

if you are comfortable with DIY, you can try it. the worst case is that you screw up and have to pay breitling for the new movement, which they want to replace any more.
