You are taking him and the watch to get authenticated, then mystery will all be solved tomorrow. It will cost some money to be authenticated but if you manage to purchase a genuine PAM for $1000, then a little fee to give you the piece of mind is nothing to you. Good luck tomorrow and keep us informed.
Yeah we are going tomorrow morning! Any idea on how much it will cost for the authentication? I wish he'd just give it to me he acts as if its nothing to him!! Anyway ill keep you guys posted on how it goes at the AD if he pulls out ill know why. Thanks for all your help on here! Sorry to defend him but the thought of acquiring such a nice newly bought piece at such a low price just has my mind dreaming !

If he's letting you get it authenticated before you buy then you can't lose.

Is this a joke thread?

The 112 has a clear case back and that is a fact. You know the one you are looking at has a solid case back. Yet you still are interested in purchasing the watch! Good to check it out, but we all know the result.

It is obviously not a 112, at best a 005 but without box/papers/history. Regardless if it turns out to be a genuine 000, who knows where it came from, if it was stolen etc. Too much uncertainty for me personally even if the price is attractive.

Right, because children with rich parents never do something illegal or tell a lie about how they came into possession about something... ;-)

That's exactly what I did!! I went and bought it, I went to the AD alone, the guy said it was a 00000? Or 000? It's authentic anyway! It is missing a buckle witch is quite expensive and the box and papers are in cyprus... But I've already got a gray dealer ready to buy it tomorrow for More then I paid for it if I'd like to get rid of it. So not a bad deal!

Thanks bud! I find it strange how it's so hard to distinguish between different panarais ! Like it's hard to tell if it's a 000 or 00000! I never really paid attention to panarai but now I own one I think they are beautiful watches ! Thanks to everyone who lent there help and attention!

Yours looks so clean! I still dont have a buckle for mine though. Could I pick up a cheap one in the mean time just so I can wear it out? One that will fit that wont cost much?

of course you can..i got an extra strap and buckle free when i got my 000 from Davidsw...usually folks like to play around with the straps and buckles because pam straps are eazy to fit and plenty of choices out there to play with...some folks use a cheaper strap and save the original straps from daily wear and tear..

Well done, bit of a gamble for you but if you go through the correct process as you have you should be fine.

But its obvious you weren't really interested in the brand so much as taking advantage of the situation to make a buck. :

And? What's your point? I don't work I'm a student this money is going to a new rolex I want in august... This is "the rolex forum" isn't it? To be honest I never noticed panerai before owning this watch. When I begin to make my own money I definatley will consider buying new without the problems of a pre owned. So yes now I'm aware iam very interested in the brand.
