PP 5327 or AP RO 26574ST

I've been thinking of adding a AP RO PC for 2020. But, since I don't have a relationship with AP. I started looking at acquiring it on Chrono, when I realized that the 5327 sells for close to the same price (a little higher) in the secondary market. I like both watches, and would like to hear your thoughts.

I love my 5327 Blue, an elegant masterpiece imo. I also enjoy my AP but there is no comparison between the two. The 5327 is under valued today. It is a $90,000 timepiece you can buy for 30% off. Great value for money and a fun, classic timepiece to wear. Get the Patek, you won’t regret it.

Two totally different watches, but I vote AP by a country mile.

Both are nice but the 5327 wears better on smaller wrist while AP wears better on larger wrist. I'm 6.5 so I go for 5327!

The Royal Oak PC is too big for me. If it wasn’t, I’d sell everything I’ve got to make it happen if I had to.

The PP isn’t really me, although it’s stunning.

But my goodness, that RO is chuffing amazing!!

Thanks, guys! This watch is so interesting and never dull. And the blue on this dial is far better than the blue on the SS Nautilus line, IMHO. It’s a vibrant, deep blue that never looks grey.

As mentioned above, I agree that this watch in SS is probably not suited for a small wrist. For reference, my wrist is ~7 1/8-1/4”, and it fits great. The CE PC wears smaller so that’s another option for those with smaller wrists.

Did you think seriously about the CE PC?

While the CE PC is very cool, it’s not for me. I did get to try one on randomly a few weeks ago and completely understand the appeal, though. And it wears smaller than the SS 41mm (and is extremely lightweight).

The AP represents a “good value” as these things go.

I agree! I’m new to AP, and I can’t understand the secondary market premium associated with the SS Nautilus while the AP SS PC trades around parity to MSRP. That’s a good thing for those who want the latter and who don’t have an AP relationship because getting this from a boutique is very hard based on conversations with some big AP collectors.

Well, the ceramic one is god level. Would love to be in the vicinity of one.

I've tried the AP on my wrist, but need to wear the 5327, and compare the two.
